Our Story
THPM Real Estate was founded by Tessa Hydes-Kerr on 1 July 2004. Before that, Tessa spent over five years at a large franchise agency on Grand Cayman, where she grew a small rental and property management department into one of the island's largest and became known for her experience, empathy and consistently high client satisfaction.
But the franchise model frustrated her. Its structure reserved the best service for the more lucrative business of buying and selling, leaving landlords and tenants underserved. So, Tessa set out to do it differently. With a small home office and a handful of properties, Tessa Hydes Property Management opened its doors focused, from day one, on tenant placement and the careful management of select rental properties.
Since 2004, those humble beginnings have grown into one of Cayman's most respected brokerages. The company rebranded as THPM Real Estate in 2019 and now operates from a prime office with a full team specialising in sales, long-term rentals, property management and client support. Through tough markets, a life-changing hurricane and a global pandemic, THPM has not only held its own - it has continued to grow and adapt.

THPM is led by Tessa Hydes-Kerr, Owner Broker and Director, who has been at the heart of the Cayman property market for nearly three decades, built on a simple belief: exceptional service is about doing the job properly, every time - not about volume.
Lisa Dilbert, Sales Negotiator, brings a sharp eye for matching buyers and tenants with the right property quickly and with genuine personal attention.
Michael Gooden leads property management, overseeing our growing portfolio of contracts and making sure every managed property is well maintained and earning its potential.
Roberta brings vibrant local charm and a people-first approach to property management, drawing on her Caymanian roots and hands-on property management experience - including her earlier time at THPM - to keep properties well cared for and owners and tenants stress-free.
